Grains can be great for fighting a bad mood. Barley, quinoa, millet, teff, etc are all wonderful for helping you be in a happier state of mind. These foods fill you up better and that can help elevate your moods as well. Feeling starved can be terrible! These grains can elevate your mood since it’s not at all hard for your body to digest them. They are easier to digest than other foods which helps raise your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, elevates your mood.
Green tea is fantastic for moods. You knew it had to be in here somewhere, right? Green tea is rich in a particular amino acid known as L-theanine. Research has found that this amino acid promotes the production of brain waves. This helps sharpen your mental energy while at the same time making the rest of your body more relaxed. You were already aware that that green tea helps you be healthier. Now you are well aware that it helps you to raise your moods also!
