  1. Get 1200 gms Chicken
  2. Take 800 gms Rice basmati soaked 30 mins
  3. Take 2 tbsp Green chilli paste
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp Haldi
  5. Get 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  6. Take 1 Lemon
  7. Get 250 gms Curd
  8. Prepare 6 tbsp Oil
  9. Make ready 1 Carrot grated
  10. Get Fried almond and raisins handful
  11. Take 1 Dried lemon
  12. Take Mandi masala
  13. Prepare Mandi masala - zeera dhaniya powder, cinnamon powder, red chilli
  14. Prepare 3 tbsp Onion fried brown

Steps to make Chicken mandi:
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with mandi masala
  2. Take oil in a pot fry onion till golden brown add ginger garlic paste.
  3. Now add the Marinated chicken cook untill 1/2 done and also add carrot
  4. Put water into it and bring to boil. Now remove the chicken from this broth. Keep water aside.
  5. Now add oil in a pot again take the fried onions add ginger garlic paste and whole garam masala then put the rice and add the broth and a dried lemon bring it to boil. Add green chilli to add spice if you like
  6. Nowcook rice untill it's done.
  7. Take chicken pieces put more mandi masala and lemon on it and grill it for 5 min on tawa
  8. Now put the chicken on rice and give smoke effect by placing a coal on it add ghee and cover nicely so that flavour get infused nicely.
  9. Mandi is ready garnish with fried almond and raisins
  10. Have it with raita or salsa you may like it
