The ingredients needed to make Stir-Fried Mushrooms and Yam with Butter and Soy Sauce:
  1. Get 50 grams King oyster mushrooms
  2. Make ready 50 grams Maitake mushrooms
  3. Get 150 grams Nagaimo yam
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp Butter
  5. Make ready 1 dash Salt and pepper
  6. Make ready 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
  7. Prepare 1 teaspoon, finely chopped Leek (optional)

Pan fry mushrooms in butter with ginger, chilli and soy for a quick and easy vegetarian meal. Keep turning the mushrooms in the sauce until they are cooked and the sauce is glossy but still liquid. Cook the basmati following pack instructions then stir. Soy sauce & butter are an incredible combo.

Instructions to make Stir-Fried Mushrooms and Yam with Butter and Soy Sauce:
  1. Thinly slice the king oyster mushrooms, and cut into desired sizes. Shred the maitake mushrooms into desired sizes. Cut the yam into 5mm-1cm half moons.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat to melt the butter.
  3. Over low-medium heat, cook one side of the yam slowly until browned (taking care not to burn them).
  4. Flip them over…
  5. …then shift the yam to one side, and add the mushrooms to the other.
  6. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper, thoroughly cook evenly, mixing from time to time. Continue cooking the yams as well.
  7. Once the mushrooms have cooked, add the soy sauce to finish. Turn off the heat, marinate them well and it's done. Garnish with chopped leek to taste.
