  2. Get 1 tbsp. oil
  3. Get 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  4. Make ready 1-2 bay leaves
  5. Take to taste salt
  6. Take 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  7. Prepare 1 tsp. cumin powder
  8. Take 1 tsp. fennel powder
  9. Prepare 1-2 green chilies, slit
  10. Get 1 tsp. sugar (opt)
  11. Get 2 cups thin coconut milk
  12. Prepare 1/2 cup thick coconut milk
  13. Make ready 1/2 tsp. pepper powder or to taste
  14. Prepare 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  15. Prepare 1 tsp. ghee
  16. Prepare 1 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
  17. Prepare 1/4 tsp. red chilli flakes

Instructions to make Raw Papaya Soup in Coconut Milk:
  1. Heat oil in a pan. Temper with cumin seeds and bay leaves. Saute for a few seconds and then add the papaya, salt, turmeric powder, sugar, cumin powder, fennel powder and green chilies.
  2. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the thin coconut milk and pepper powder. Cover and simmer on a low flame till the papaya turns soft.
  3. Switch off the flame and add the thick coconut milk, garam masala powder and ghee. Mix well and leave it covered for 4-5 minutes. Serve, garnished with chilli flakes and coriander leaves.
