This is because seeds and nuts have lots of magnesium which raises your brain’s serotonin levels. Serotonin is the “feel good” chemical substance that tells your brain how you feel at all times. It’s not hard to drive away your bad mood when you are eating grains. Barley, millet, quinoa, etc are excellent at helping you be happier. These grains can help you feel full for longer as well, helping you feel better. Feeling famished can really make you feel terrible! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are easy to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps kick start a rise in your sugar levels which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.
Green tea is excellent for moods. You just knew green tea had to be mentioned, right? Green tea is found to be packed full of an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies have discovered that this amino acid actually induces brain waves. This will better your brain’s concentration while also relaxing the rest of your body. You already knew that green tea helps you be a lot healthier. Now you know that green tea can improve your mood as well!
As you can see, you don’t have to turn to junk food or foods that are terrible for you to feel better! Try a couple of of these hints instead.
