  4. Add the ☆ ingredients, simmer for 7 to 8 more minutes, add soy sauce, then continue simmering until the liquid almost boils away completely.
  5. When the taro roots become tender, increase the heat, turn them over in the pan, and coat them evenly until they are glistening.
  6. Transfer to a dish and serve.
  7. The servings size is for 2, but you will be sure to have left overs.
  8. In order to cook evenly, be sure to cover the pot with a lid while simmering.

Discover How to Improve Your Mood with Food

A lot of us think that comfort foods are bad for us and that we have to keep away from them. Often, if your comfort food is a high sugar food or another junk food, this is very true. Otherwise, comfort foods may be really healthy and good for you. There are several foods that really can boost your moods when you consume them. When you feel a little down and are in need of an emotional pick-me-up, test out some of these.

Eggs, would you believe, are terrific for helping you battle depression. Just be sure that you do not throw out the yolk. Whenever you would like to cheer yourself up, the yolk is the most important part of the egg. Eggs, the egg yolks particularly, are high in B vitamins. The B vitamin family can be fantastic for elevating your mood. This is because these vitamins increase the function of your brain’s neural transmitters (the parts of the brain that tell you how to feel). Eat an egg and feel a lot better!

Put together a trail mixout of a variety of seeds and nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etcetera are all helpful for elevating your mood. This is because these nuts are loaded with magnesium, which helps to boost serotonin levels. Serotonin is the “feel good” chemical that directs your brain how you feel day in and day out. The higher your serotonin levels, the better you will feel. Not just that but nuts, particularly, are a fantastic protein source.

Cold water fish are great for eating if you are wanting to battle depression. Wild salmon, herring, mackerel, trout, and tuna are all full of omega-3 fats and DHA. These are two substances that increase the quality and function of the gray matter in your brain. It’s the truth: consuming tuna fish sandwiches can really help you overcome your depression.

Grains can be excellent for fighting a bad mood. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all truly wonderful for helping raise your happiness levels. These foods can help you feel full for longer too, which is a mood improver. Feeling hungry can truly make you feel awful! The reason these grains can improve your mood is that they are not hard for your stomach to digest. They are simpler to digest than other foods which helps kick up your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, raises your mood.

Green tea is wonderful for moods. You knew it had to be included in this article, right? Green tea is loaded with an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies have shown that this amino acid basically stimulates brain waves. This will better your brain’s focus while at the same relaxing the rest of your body. You knew green tea could help you become better. Now you know that green tea can elevate your mood also!

Now you know that junk food isn’t necessarily what you should eat when you are wanting to help your moods get better. Go with these hints instead!
