Eggs, you might be surprised to discover, are great at battling depression. Just make sure that you do not toss the yolk. When you wish to cheer yourself up, the yolk is the most important part of the egg. Eggs, specifically the egg yolks, are loaded with B vitamins. B vitamins can genuinely help you boost your mood. Put together a few trail mix of nuts or seeds. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etcetera are all helpful for raising your mood. The more serotonin you have, the better you are going to feel. Nuts, on top of raising your mood, can be a superb protein source.
Cold water fish are excellent for eating if you want to battle depression. Cold water fish like tuna, trout and wild salmon are rich in DHA and omega-3 fats. DHA and omega-3s are two things that promote the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can greatly boost your mood.
Some grains are actually excellent for driving away bad moods. Barley, millet, quinoa, etc are great at helping you feel better. These grains can help you feel full for longer also, which is a mood improver. Feeling famished can be terrible! The reason these grains can improve your mood is that they are easy to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps jumpstart a rise in your blood glucose which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.
Green tea is actually good for your mood. You were sure green tea had to be included in this article, right? Green tea is high in a specific amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies have discovered that this amino acid actually induces brain waves. This helps sharpen your mental energy while simultaneously calming your body.
