The ingredients needed to make Emma's mac'n'cheese:
  1. Take 6 tbsp butter/margarine
  2. Get 6 tbsp regular flour
  3. Make ready 800 ml milk
  4. Take 1000 grams macaroni
  5. Take 1 Roughly 200-300g of grated cheese. I used gouda
  6. Get 2 packs of melting cheese. I use Kraft singles with cheddar. There are 10 slices/pack.
  7. Get 1 Salt
  8. Prepare 1 Peppar
  9. Take 1 A dash of turmeric for colour (optional)

The evaporated milk gives Mac & Cheese an amazingly rich & creamy taste. This mac and cheese is for those times when you just can't be bothered to pull out a pan. Steps to make Emma's mac'n'cheese:
  1. Melt your butter/margarine in a saucepan.
  2. Once it has melted, take it off the heat and add your flour. Whisk it gently into a kind of thickening paste. It should NOT be like a dough. If it is, add some more butter or margarine until you have a smooth and sticky paste.
  3. Add the milk, and put your saucepan back onto the heat. Whisk continually or it will burn. Do this until it thickens.
  4. Lower the heat significantly and add your melting cheese. If you add it all at once, it might be difficult to stir properly, so add a bit at a time.
  5. Once you have added all your melting cheese, add the grated cheese and stir until you have a smooth (and cheesy!) sauce.
  6. Boil your macaroni according to the instruction on the box.
  7. Season your sauce with salt and peppar, and some turmeric if you want for colour.
  8. Drain your cooked macaroni, and then add it to your cheese sauce. Once it is stirred in completely, serve immediately.

Make a trail mixfrom a variety of seeds and nuts. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etcetera are all terrific for helping to raise your mood. This is possible as these foods are high in magnesium which raises serotonin production. Serotonin is known as the “feel good” chemical substance and it tells your brain how you should be feeling at all times. The more serotonin in your brain, the better you’ll feel. Not only that but nuts, particularly, are a fantastic source of protein.

If you would like to overcome depression, try eating some cold water fish. Tuna, trout, mackerel, herring and wild salmon are all full of omega-3 fats and DHA. These are two substances that promote the quality and function of the grey matter in your brain. It’s the truth: consuming tuna fish sandwiches can actually help you overcome your depression.

It’s easy to drive away your bad mood when you consume grains. Teff, barley, millet, quinoa, etc are all wonderful for helping you feel happier. These foods can help you feel full for longer too, which is a mood improver. It’s easy to feel low when you feel hungry! The reason these grains can improve your mood is that they are not hard for your stomach to digest. You digest these grains more quickly than other things which can help promote your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel better, mood wise.

Green tea is fantastic for moods. You were sure green tea had to be included in this article, right? Green tea is loaded with an amino acid called L-theanine. Studies have found that this particular amino acid can basically induce brain waves. This helps focus your mental energy while at the same time relaxing the rest of your body. You probably already knew it is not hard to get healthy when you consume green tea. Now you know that green tea can improve your mood as well!
